Oooo… Helen… I want to respond straight away after reading this, and I want to stay in it, breathing into the different reactions that have been ignited inside of me… all kinds… but probably dominated by my own grief of struggling to lean into life/aliveness/intensity, and… grief/the mix of feelings that goes with thinking of you and your journey looking time in the eye xxx

I know this might be confronting to people Di, in various ways, and I'm so grateful to you for acknowledging that, and grateful to you for being you - someone I can so rely on to say those things with such honesty. I don't manage it all the time, that's for sure, and have to remind myself to lean in too. But I have this dreadful reason to do it I guess. Very much looking forward to talking about it with you more xxxx

Confronting for me in a good way Helen. As you know I’m aware of my zoning out and I’m trying to challenge that - it is sad that it’s a dreadful reason that has meant you’re so fully in the intenseness of life - but it is also the beauty of such horror isn’t it? And you writing about your experience is offering us all the challenge of “come on, we only have one life, and it is time limited”. You’re also sharing the agony that goes with such a heightened awareness of the time ticking by. I love you. Keep writing! xxxx

Somehow 'liking' or 'loving' this week's post seems both right and completely incongruous. What I'm looking for is the button that says 'Just so grateful' for all of your thoughts and insights. They help me see you so differently (and so not differently) and help me reflect, too. For the love you send out, then here's a great big chunk of it on its way back.
